Match preview: United return to home comforts in bid to secure top-four finish against Wolves

Manchester United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday at Old Trafford in a 3pm kick-off.

The Red Devils have four Premier League fixtures remaining, three of which are at home and one away.

This Saturday, they must bounce back with nothing less than three points. Back-to-back defeats is poor enough, but United have taken just four points in their past four matches, so pressure is mounted on the squad’s shoulders to secure a top-four finish.

Liverpool sit fifth-placed, breathing down United’s neck and waiting to capitalise on any further slip-ups, though they have played one more game, so it is technically in the Reds’ hands to secure Champions League qualification.

How Wolves fare

On the other hand, Wolves are 13th-placed and are now safe from the drop after being in, out and around the relegation zone all season.

Their form has fluctuated as of late, having picked up wins against the likes of Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brentford last month, but sustaining losses to Leicester City and a whopping 6-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

The reverse fixture at the Molineux came back in December last year; the only goal of the game was scored by Marcus Rashford in the 76th minute to rescue all three points.
