Manchester United bidders committed regardless of Champions League qualification

Recent results in the Premier League has raised doubt over whether Manchester United will finish in the top four this season, but reports suggest the bidders trying to purchase the club will remain committed to the cause regardless of that.

The Reds need to win three of their four remaining matches in order to secure a place in the Champions League.

According to The Athletic, the takeover bids for United made by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani are not contingent on where they finish in the league.

Our hopes are pretty much in the balance, although a lot of the fans are focused on the takeover.

United are currently one point above fifth-placed Liverpool with four games remaining. We’ve also got a game in hand over our rivals.

Missing out on Champions League football would be a blow to United, especially in the transfer market – but any deals we conduct may depend on the takeover because Ten Hag is unlikely to have a big transfer kitty if the Glazers remain.

Both parties — Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim remain fully committed regardless of results between now and the end of the season.
