Jim Ratcliffe demands full control of United’s summer transfer window should his bid be successful

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is demanding full control of Manchester United’s transfers from the second his bid is accepted, should that be the case.

That’s according to an exclusive report from Telegraph Sport this afternoon, which confirms that Ratcliffe wants to take the reins ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window, one which could be pivotal to United’s future if done correctly.

The Glazer family are unlikely to listen to requests for control at this stage of the process, however, things could be moving quickly in the coming days. On Friday, all interested parties lodged their third and final bids.

Ratcliffe’s latest bid

A surprising update suggested that the Englishman, who is looking to obtain a majority stake as opposed to a full takeover, valued the club higher than the other notable bidder, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Ratcliffe’s proposal may include Joel and Avram Glazer staying within the setup as minority shareholders, though they would have little to no say in the running of England’s most successful team.
