Manchester United are set to welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon for a top-half Premier League clash.
Looking to leapfrog Eddie Howe’s high-flying Newcastle United and regain their spot in third, the Red Devils will know that in order for that to happen, as well as the Magpies dropping points against Southampton, a win is required.
Getting the better of Unai Emery’s Villians won’t be easy though. The Midlands side are in great form having won eight of their last 10 league matches and now on the hunt for European qualification themselves, today’s match will have it all to play for.
Ahead of the game, which is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. (UK time), both teams have named their starting 11.
Erik Ten Hag has stuck with his preferred defence partnership in Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw following injuries to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. Harry Maguire is once again on the sub’s bench.
As for Villa, Emery has opted to go with a familiar lineup that includes in form striker Ollie Watkins upfront.
