Brentford full-back on Manchester United and Man City’s radar

Manchester United and Man City have both been linked with Brentford full-back Aaron Hickey.

According to Football Insider, United and City are both interested in signing the defender this summer.

Hickey joined Brentford from Bologna last summer, but has only played 20 times in the Premier League this season due to missing a number of games due to injury.

In turn, we haven’t seen enough of the 20-year-old to really comment on whether he would an improvement on what Erik ten Hag already has at right-back.

Also should we be wary of a player who doesn’t have the greatest injury record since moving to the Premier League, or would that be an unfair judgement after just one year in the English top-flight?

Diogo Dalot has blown hot and cold this season, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks to have vastly improved under Ten Hag.

Of course, we know that United are going to be linked with an array of players this summer — in every department. Hopefully our recruitment is as good as it was last summer.
