Diogo Dalot has reflected on scoring his first-ever Premier League goal.
It was a crucial one too, as his goal secured all three points for Manchester United in their trip to The City Ground.
Antony had provided the opener in the first half before the defender opened his league goalscoring account in the 76th minute.
The Brazilian was influential to United’s second of the night, as he displayed his silky footwork to weave past Forest’s defenders and slot Dalot through to finish off some impressive build-up play.
Dalot was subsequently full of praise for his teammate, and said (via Man Utd’s Twitter): “Great pass from Antony, he did more than 50% – I just had to score it.”
On celebrating in front of the travelling United faithful, he added: “It’s always special. They were absolutely buzzing with the goal and we all came together and celebrated with them. It’s always a special moment.
“I tried everything [all the celebrations]! I had the opportunity and obviously, I did my ‘check the pulse’, and then with Antony, we had spoken before the game that if he scored, we should do that. He scored and [got] an assist! Then I scored as well so it was perfect.”
