Martial leads the line: Confirmed Manchester United line-up to take on Nottingham Forest

Manchester United’s confirmed starting line-up to take on Nottingham Forest this afternoon at The City Ground. Kick-off is at 4.30pm.

Erik ten Hag has seemingly given Diogo Dalot a new role at left-back in Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia’s absence, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Portugal international fares in his new position. 19-year-old academy prospect Marc Jurado has also made the bench for the first time.

With Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane sidelined for the match, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have come in at centre-back – a pairing that has been used sparingly this season.

Casemiro returns to the starting eleven after serving his four-game suspension, which is a huge boost for the Red Devils. Marcel Sabitzer will join the Brazilian, with Ten Hag appearing reluctant to rush Christian Eriksen back into action. He made his return last week as a substitute, so we’ll likely see him in the later stages of the match.

Thankfully, Anthony Martial has been deemed fit enough to start. He netted the second goal against Everton and provided an assist midweek against Sevilla. Today provides a great chance for the Frenchman to make an impact and add to his tally for the season.

Marcus Rashford unfortunately misses out.
