(Video) ‘We fancy ourselves’ – Nottingham Forest captain makes confident admission ahead of Manchester United clash

Nottingham Forest captain Joe Worrall is feeling confident about facing Manchester United this weekend.

The fact that the match is being held at The City Ground is what has the Forest players backing themselves.

Five of their six league wins this campaign have come at home and their faithful supporters will be doing everything possible to play their part in helping Forest see out a result on Sunday.

Sitting 18th in the league, their place in the top flight next season hangs in the balance, and the side will know that every point is absolutely crucial from now until the summer.

Worrall on United

Ahead of this weekend’s clash with the fourth-placed Red Devils, Worrall rated Forest’s chances.

“They’re a fantastic team. They’ve definitely been underperforming for a club that size for many years, since [Sir Alex] Ferguson left and it’s took a while to get the right man for the job, but it looks like the manager at the moment who’s there has struck the right chord with the squad. They’ve got fantastic players, who are we kidding? An impressive outfit.

But I think if we look at how much talent we have in our squad, the belief, the fight, the energy and the charisma that we’re going to have to have to stay in this division. It doesn’t matter who we play at The City Ground, we fancy ourselves.”
