Ten stadiums for the UK and Ireland’s bid to host Euro 2028 have been named – but Old Trafford has not made the cut.
There are plans for the European Championships in 2028 to be held across five nations.
Now, 10 stadia that will host the tournament — should the UK and Ireland’s bid win — were announced (via Sky News), not including Manchester United’s Old Trafford.
The second-largest stadium in Old Trafford was overlooked, while Man City’s Etihad Stadium is among the 10 stadiums listed.
Interestingly, two unbuilt stadiums have been included in the list. Everton’s new ground at Bromley Moore Dock and Casement Park in Belfast.
The other stadiums include the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Newcastle’s St James’ Park and Aston Villa’s Villa Park.
Meanwhile, fellow host nations will get to put forward a stadium apiece: Principality in Cardiff, Hampden in Glasgow and the Aviva in Dublin.

Liverpool’s Anfield was another to be overlooked, but Old Trafford will come as a bigger surprise to the masses.
It will come as a blow to players taking part in the tournament that dream of playing at Old Trafford.
