Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe will face a late race to be fit for Stoke City’s clash against West Brom this weekend.

The centre-back has made five appearances for Stoke City since joining the Championship side on loan in January.

However, Tuanzebe has not been in action since the international break.

Stoke manager Axel Neil is urging patience with Tuanzebe after a long spell out on the sidelines.

Neil said (via Manchester Evening News): “Axel won’t be far away but again we’ll see how he is this week and make a judgement for the weekend.”

Unfortunately for Tuanzebe, injuries have been a common theme in his professional career. It’s the biggest reason why he has been unable to kick on as a player.
