Sofyan Amrabat’s agent hints at summer transfer after confirming Manchester United interest

Manchester United are believed to have made a move to sign Sofyan Amrabat on loan in January, but the attempts were pushed back by Fiorentina.

In the latest update on Amrabat’s future, the midfielder’s agent has revealed that the Italian club is open to the idea of letting him go at the end of the season, should a suitable offer come in.

Mohamed Sinouch told Kora plus, as per The Sun: “For now we don’t have any offer for the summer, but now at least Fiorentina is willing to listen.

“A promise they made when the president rejected all the offers in winter.

“We received many offers during the January transfer window, including one from Manchester United, but an agreement cannot be reached.”

It remains to be seen if United will launch a pursuit to sign Amrabat, but Fiorentina’s reluctance to let him go in January makes perfect sense because teams don’t want to lose key players midway through a season.

United signed Marcel Sabitzer on loan from January instead and he could remain at the club, even after his deal expires at the end of the season.

Speaking to Voetbal Primeur last week, Amrabat’s brother confirmed United’s interest.

Nordin Amrabat said: “I can name three clubs who were concrete in the last two or three days of the transfer window.

“Manchester United wanted a loan with an option to buy deal, Fiorentina rejected.”
