Blow for Arsenal as Bayer Leverkusen star prefers Manchester United switch

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong would reportedly prefer to join Manchester United over Arsenal if he leaves the German side this summer.

Speculation suggests that Frimpong is one name high on Erik ten Hag’s shortlist for the summer transfer window, as the manager looks to bolster his options at right-back.

According to BILD, the Netherlands international is swaying towards a move to Old Trafford, despite Premier League leaders Arsenal showing interest.

Frimpong’s season so far

This season, Frimpong has registered an impressive eight goals and nine assists in all competitions, so it looks as though Ten Hag is opting for a more attack-minded full-back.

He would line up behind skilful winger Antony and the pair could cause some serious damage to the opposition’s defence when in top form.

Hopefully, his defensive abilities are as strong as when he is on the attack. Luke Shaw is certainly able to balance both aspects.

  1. I think frimpong should be given enough time to think about it because you can’t join man u if you want your future to be good. Arsenal can give more chances of playing than man u

  2. Man u is better team for you to developed and upgrade with the calibre players they had and experienced manager and staffs..
    Let’s go to Manchester United.

  3. This is a good move for him, he’ll be able to develop quicker under Ten Hag and would suit the managers playing style.
