Manchester United were completely dominant in the early kick-off against Everton.
Our transitions from defence to attack flowed and Everton couldn’t do anything about it, especially in the first-half.
Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay spoke to BT Sport after the match to give their immediate reactions to the win.
“If the score was 3, 4 or 5-0, I don’t think anyone would have any complaints,” Maguire said.
McTominay, who scored the opening goal, warned his team-mates that they need to be more clinical going forward. The manager will be the first person to agree with that.
McTominay said: “Obviously it’s nice to score. We could have scored three or four in the first half. We have to be more clinical, and I’m sure that’s what the manager will say.
“I thought after the reaction against Brentford and the win on Wednesday, and [the result] last week at Newcastle, it was a good win.
“We wanted to play on the front foot and create chances and that’s what we did.”
