There has been whispers about Marcel Sabitzer remaining at Manchester United beyond his loan spell. Now reports suggest the Austrian midfielder feels comfortable at Old Trafford and can imagine at a future at the club.
That’s according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claims talks are close, despite nothing being decided just yet.
Plettenberg also states that other Premier League clubs have made enquiries about Sabitzer.
News #Sabitzer: He feels comfortable at #MUFC & can imagine to join ManUtd on permanent deal. But nothing decided. Decisive talks will follow next weeks. Return to Munich unlikely at this stage. Been told that many clubs of the Premier League inquired about him. @SkySportDE 🇦🇹 pic.twitter.com/bj9jBKxwbn

Sabitzer joined United on loan in January after struggling to earn a regular spot at Bayern Munich — starting just eight games since his transfer from RB Leipzig.
The £113,000-a-week star scored two goals during the recent international break, as well as providing an assist in Austria’s 3-1 win over Azerbaijan in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
Under Erik ten Hag, who brought Sabitzer to United, he has managed five starts and is likely to start against Everton on Saturday.
