Manchester United continue to be linked with goalkeepers around Europe, even though there is talk of David de Gea getting a new contract.

It’s probably fuelled by the fact newspapers are aware there’s a hunger among some United fans to see De Gea replaced as No.1 next season. In turn, I get a feeling that outlets are taking advantage of this, and know that linking United with an array of goalkeepers will guarantee clicks.

Other goalkeepers that have been linked with a move to United include David Raya and Diogo Costa.

According to Cope, United are ‘interested’ in signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The 22-year-old has only kept five clean sheets this season, but the Manchester Evening News claims he has put together a collection of impressive performances for the La Liga side this season.

Meanwhile, we’re not going to pretend to know anything about a player we haven’t watched before.

Chelsea and Tottenham are also being linked with a summer move for Mamardshvili.

Let us know in the comments section if you would like to see De Gea get a new contract at United, or if you think we should be looking for a new No.1.
