Ajax express interest to re-sign Manchester United flop

Ajax are believed to be interested in taking back Donny van de Beek with the midfielder failing to nail down a place in the team since joining the club in 2020.

Van de Beek wasn’t ever the best player in the Ajax side he played in, which is why his transfer to United raised a few eyebrows, but nobody thought he’d be a complete disaster.

That may seem harsh. Van de Beek has had a couple of setbacks since moving to England, but we can’t overlook the fact he’s been overlooked by several United managers (Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and now Ten Hag).

In the last three years, Van de beer has made just 34 appearances in the league for United. To make matters worse he has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

However, a new report from Football Insider claims Ajax want to sign their former player this summer.

Van de Beek was part of the Ajax squad that reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2018/19 – under Ten Hag – as they beat European giants Real Madrid and Juventus in the process.

Football Insider believe a bid worth approximately £25 million would be enough for United to part ways with the Netherlands international.

I’d take the money and run.
