Erik ten Hag has shown his comical side in a gesture to Manchester United reporter Simon Peach.
Peach documented a rough trip home earlier in March when he made the trip to Old Trafford for United’s home Europa League clash with Real Betis.
At the time, snow was falling heavily across England and particularly in the North. Luckily, the Red Devils picked up a 4-1 victory to give them one foot in the quarter-finals, but it was the aftermath that followed that caused Peach some distress.
With the M62 at a standstill, he kept his followers updated with the timeline of him being stuck on the motorway overnight due to the weather. Having left Old Trafford at 11.50pm after the match, he got home at 9.59am the following morning.

At today’s pre-match press conference with Ten Hag, the Dutchman had clearly been made aware of Peach’s nightmare and handed him a signed copy of ‘SAS Survival Guide’ saying: “For next time… stay safe Simon!”
