One Manchester United player makes Squawka Team of the Season so far

One Red has made Squawka’s Team of the Season so far, with only one player from a Premier League club allowed to feature in the XI.

It was likely a difficult choice given Manchester United’s resurgence this season, and it will certainly make fans’ Player of the Year choice a tough one.

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have been deemed two of the most ‘instant impact’ signings imaginable. The stability they have brought to the Reds’ defence and midfield was what supporters had yearned for seasons before their arrival.

However, it’s Marcus Rashford that Squawka have included in their combined eleven, with the Englishman taking the position in his most comfortable role on the left wing.

Rashford’s prolific form

It’s no surprise really given his contributions to the club this term (27 goals and nine assists). Without Rashford’s goals, United could be in a considerably worse place than where they are currently; third in the league, Carabao Cup winners, in the Europa League quarter-final and FA Cup semi-final.

The 25-year-old has been pivotal to the journey so far and will continue to be when club action resumes this weekend.
