Manchester United are reportedly hopeful of signing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian side will find it difficult to keep hold of their star man when top clubs across Europe come lining up for him this summer.

The Nigerian striker has been exceptional for his side this season and has been pivotal to their outstanding form, which has them 19 points clear on top of Serie A and in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Osimhen, 24, has already registered 25 goals and five assists so far and will certainly add to his tally before the campaign draws to a close.

Osimhen’s valuation continues to grow

He will, however, come attached with a hefty price tag. Napoli know how in demand Osimhen is and with the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea in the race, they’ll be keen to make as much money as possible from any potential deal.

The report suggests that £87.5 milion (€100 million) is a likely fee that the Serie A leaders could ask for.
