Former Brazil defender Miranda would have liked to play for Manchester United.
We often discuss South American players that we would have liked in a Manchester United shirt, but many of them prioritised moves to Barcelona or Real Madrid over playing in the Premier League.
However, former Atletico Madrid defender Miranda revealed his Manchester United desire in an interview he gave to ESPN Brasil this week.
During the Q&A, the first question was about which club he’d like to have played for.
“Manchester United,” Miranda replied, as per ESPN Brasil.
Miranda went on to say he was shaken by an offer from the club in 2015, but he did not accept it.
He also went on to claim he’d never have played for Real Madrid, which is presumably due to his Atleti links – something he did not have in his blood back in Brazil.
Is Miranda a player you would have liked in a United shirt? He was definitely better than some of the defenders we had under Louis van Gaal in 2015. There’s no doubt about that.
