Manchester United among four Premier League clubs ‘offered’ Barcelona starlet

Manchester United are reportedly one of four Premier League clubs that have been offered Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati.

That is according to Sport, which stated that the Red Devils have been linked with the Spain international again – two years after making a £130 million bid for the attacker.

Fati has fallen out of favour under Xavi this season and has struggled to cement his place in the starting line-up; he has made just 11 starts in all competitions but 26 further appearances as a substitute, contributing six goals and three assists in his cameos.

Barcelona must oversee player departures

The Catalan side are notorious for having financial problems and it was recently confirmed that they will be banned from transfers this summer unless they can raise £177 million from player sales.

They will know that Fati currently will return a high transfer fee, due to his attacking threat and young age of just 20 years old.

However, he is not Erik ten Hag’s signing of choice from the Blaugrana, as speculation suggests the manager has still got his sights set on Frenkie de Jong.
