Manchester United fans crack jokes at Jamie Carragher as Liverpool crack against Bournemouth

Manchester United began cooking some jokes about Jamie Carragher when Bournemouth took the lead against Liverpool yesterday.

Philip Billing’s goal came in the first half, so a lot of Manchester United fans had to wait patiently for the game to come to a conclusion. In the end, Mohamed Salah missed a second half penalty and Liverpool were unable to respond to Bournemouth’s opening goal.

That meant Liverpool succumbed to defeat in disappointing fashion against a relegation contender, who were bottom of the Premier League before kick-off.

After Liverpool’s 7-0 win over United last Sunday, Carragher revelled in Gary Neville’s misery as he made a number of jokes on air and on social media.

And while working for CBS Sports for their Champions League coverage midweek, the former Liverpool defender was spotted drinking a can of 7UP, making another reference to United’s heavy defeat at Anfield.

Weird for a boyhood Everton fan.

But after failing to score against Bournemouth, United fans hit back at the 45-year-old – with cans of Coke Zero as well as cherry flavoured 7UP.

The least he deserves.

  1. I don’t know why people are taking the piss out of Liverpool for losing to Bournemouth. It just makes the 7-0 humiliation last weekend even more embarrassing. We crumbled to a mediocre Liverpool who got beat by the bottom team in the premier league.
Seriously how bad can it be. We were worse than the bottom team, much worse.
