(Video) Marcus Rashford admits he wants to improve further after career-best season

Marcus Rashford is enjoying the best season of his career and he is increasingly likely to become the first player to score 30 goals or more in one season for Manchester United since Robin van Persie (2012/13).

The 25-year-old scored his 26th goal of the campaign in the 4-1 win over Real Betis earlier this week and on Friday, he was named Premier League Player of the Month for the third time this season.

Rashford’s scintillating form has taken the world of football by storm and speaking ahead of Sunday’s game against Southampton, in which the winger will be looking to add to his tally, he has admitted that there are still areas in which he could improve.

“I think I’m taking a lot more of the opportunities that come,” Rashford told Football Daily, as seen above.

“I still think I can get in more goalscoring positions and it’s something that we’re working on and will continue to work on for the period of time that we’re together.

“I’m still very much looking ahead rather than what I’ve done so far so hopefully I can keep adding that now. When we set as a team, the individual targets sort of just follow that.

“I think for any forward, you want to get to 20 goals in a season and then you just kick on from there and score as many as you can.”

Rashford has gone from strength to strength under Erik ten Hag and the United boss will now be hoping his talisman extends his contract sooner rather than later.

Rashford’s current deal expires at the end of next season and there are no signs of an extension yet, with Paris Saint-Germain said to be circling.
