Manchester United boast most all-competition wins of any club in Europe’s top five leagues

Manchester United have the most wins in all competitions of any club in Europe’s top five leagues, according to Opta.

Not only that, but they lead the mix by four games, sitting on 31 victories whilst Barcelona, Real Madrid, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City all have 27.

It was last night’s clash with Real Betis that boosted United’s place on the chart, with the Reds defeating their Spanish opponents by four goals to one after a dominant performance at Old Trafford.

They are also now on a 21-game unbeaten streak on home turf (as per Squawka), alluding to Erik ten Hag’s desire of making the Theatre of Dreams a fortress again.

United’s progress under Ten Hag

Whilst all this doesn’t eradicate last weekend’s humiliating loss, it’s concrete proof of progress. Especially in comparison to last season, where United finished the season with 20 wins and all hopes of silverware were gone by February.

The team lifted the Carabao Cup just two weeks ago, ending a six-year trophy drought and as aforementioned, they’re tasting success more than any other club across Europe.

They are also well in contention to win both the FA Cup and Europa League, whilst keeping a keen eye on the Premier League title race.
