Erik ten Hag collects another prize as Dutchman is named Manager of the Month

Erik ten Hag has steadied the ship at Manchester United and now, roughly nine months into his reign at the club, supporters are starting to gain optimism going forward.

The Dutchman endured his biggest setback yet earlier this month when United fell at Anfield but that unfortunate defeat was preceded by three near-flawless months and he has now been recognised for his side’s efforts in February.

Ten Hag picked up the Manager of the Month award in his second month in the Premier League and now, he has once again collected the prize for February, as seen below.

United played four games in February, winning three and drawing one. By winning the accolade, Ten Hag fended off competition from Fulham’s Marco Silva as well as Tottenham Hotspur’s Antonio Conte.

SN’s verdict…
It’s safe to say that United’s loss to Liverpool was merely a blip – it does not take away from months of steady progress and the best football Old Trafford has seen in years.

February was a good month for United on all four fronts. The month included a two-legged win over Barcelona in the Europa League and the win over Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final, which put an end to the Reds’ six-year wait for silverware.
