(Video) Bruno Fernandes scores brilliant header to hand Man United two-goal lead vs Real Betis

Manchester United are positioning them perfectly ahead of next week’s return leg against Real Betis as they have now claimed a two-goal lead over the Spanish outfit.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring early in the first half but an opportunist strike from Ayoze Perez later in the half ensured the two sides went into the 15-minute break level.

It didn’t last long after the interval, however, with Antony’s beautiful curler reclaiming the lead for the Reds just seven minutes into the second half.

Now, United have added to their advantage as stand-in captain Bruno Fernandes provided the perfect response to criticism by scoring United’s third, as seen below.

Fernandes, who is not best known for his potency at corners, was completely unmarked when Luke Shaw’s cross was swung in and the Portugal international made no mistake.

Fernandes’ header is his first goal in this season’s Europa League and it couldn’t have come at a better time following relentless criticism after last weekend’s defeat at Liverpool.
