Manchester United have reportedly been in contact with the representatives of Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
We already know that Wilfried Zaha left Selhurst Park for Old Trafford back in 2013. He went on to struggle to make an impact under David Moyes, making just four senior appearances for the club, before being loaned out to Cardiff City and back to Palace before making a permanent return to London.
At 30, Zaha has established himself as one of the most dangerous wide players in the Premier League. The Ivory Coast international has reached 450 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 165 goals, but his contract is set to expire in the summer.
According to London World, Tottenham are confident of securing Zaha’s signature but United have also been in touch with the player’s representatives along with AS Roma.
There could be a slight mix up with the reporting, mind. While we believe Manchester United reached out to Zaha’s entourage over a year ago — when Matt Judge was part of the recruitment team — but a deal never materialised.
Zaha shares the same agency as Palace team-mate Marc Guehi, who we believe Manchester United have actually asked about in recent weeks.
Let us know in the comments section if you would like to see Zaha back at United and given a second chance at the biggest club in the world.
