Erik ten Hag targets major signings to build more momentum at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is making plans for next season.

The Dutchman has been in charge for over six months and has already won his first trophy as Manchester United manager. Fans left Wembley on Sunday believing this is just the start of the journey with Ten Hag because they believe he will deliver more trophies in good time.

Winning a trophy this season was one of our objectives this season. The other one is to finish in the top four, which we are on course to achieve, so you get the feeling that expectations are on the rise again at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag wants at least two significant signings in the summer to maintain United’s momentum because next season he will be expected to challenge for the Premier League title.

The report claims Ten Hag wants a new goalscorer and is also pushing for a midfield reinforcement. United could also recruit a centre back to bolster their defence if captain Harry Maguire leaves.

Ten Hag is open to a second pursuit of Frenkie de Jong amid ongoing financial issues at Barcelona, and the Dutch midfielder performed well at Old Trafford when United beat Barcelona 2-1 in the Europa League.

Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane are the top big name strikers named in the article, which also includes a list of forwards such as Goncalo Ramos and Mohammed Kudus.

It is noted that Ten Hag believes Ajax youngster Kudus has the attributes to excel in the Premier League.

Hopefully, we can keep Wout Weghorst as a backup option because he’s a very useful option to have in the squad.

Let us know in the comments who you would like United to sign in the summer.

  1. I would love to see oshimen here. He’s fast, clinical, instinctive and press really well. A proper number 9. Would’ve loved someone with the playmaking abilities tho. Like Karim benzema.. Harry kane is gonna be a hard catch I beleive.

No frenkie de jong even if he’s a good player.Last time pursuing him was waste of energy and money, there is no need to push for someone who doesn’t want to come, Just keep it clear he isn’t a top top player like messi or iniesta or luka modric. For the midfielder I would love to see luka sucic in united colors. He’s really talented and can be a very very good player for future. We need a player who can have authority in midfield and we know fred and mctominy aren’t it.They’re not the very best but utility players. We have erikson and we could use lucic as a backup to erikson or he can slot straight in to starting eleven I beleive.Luka sucic can be a very good player in the near future. So it’ll be a good to get him rather than our rivals sign him

  2. Man Utd certainly do not want Kane , certainly not a team player, we already have better & younger players, Kane would only disrupt out team, as he would demand to take all penalties, just to keep his score rate up, he is a Me Me Me , . I have been a supporter of Man Utd since Munich I would sooner give up thanhave Kane.

  3. Would like to see Victor at the club. Kane is to slow, he is not as great as people make him out to be. Should get rid of Maguire as he is clueless. Need another central defender and keep Weghorst, he gives us that high press which disrupts teams and gets the ball back quickly. He will score soon and that should help him to move forward and continue scoring.
