Man UTD plotting to sign 6ft 5in goal-machine, he’s already agreed summer move

Manchester United are still on the hunt for a long-term option to lead the line for Erik ten Hag, with Wout Weghorst brought in on a short-term loan in January to ease the burden on Anthony Martial, who is enduring a neverending battle with injuries.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial departure last year left United short in that department and rumours are already gathering pace ahead of a potentially crucial summer.

United spent big last summer but a striker was not signed. By the sounds of the latest reports, they have already set their eyes on one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

That’s according to Football Insider, who say that United are plotting to sign RB Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko, who has already signed a deal to join RB Leipzig at the end of this season.

It’s claimed that despite Sesko’s commitment to joining another club, a bid could still mean that Sesko ends up elsewhere and not in the Bundesliga.

As per the report, Weghorst is not viewed as a long-term option and only as a short-term solution as United desperately scoured the market for a striker.
