(Video) “He’s lean, he’s mean” – Roy Keane hails Man United star ahead of EFL Cup final

Former Manchester United captain turned pundit Roy Keane has praised Marcus Rashford for the attacker’s upturn in form.

Rashford, 25, endured a difficult campaign last season, scoring just five goals in all competitions.

However, after putting in a lot of effort and getting back to peak physical fitness, the 25-year-old has stunned fans with how much he has improved this time around.

Already netting 24 goals, across all competitions, including 14 in the Premier League, Rashford is undoubtedly one of the world’s most in-form attackers and it’s proven by Keane’s recent praise, which is something not every player receives.

Speaking about United’s number 10 ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster EFL Cup final against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, Keane, who spoke live on Sky Sports, said: “When you’re young and you have a great start, you’re going to have some sort of dip.

“[…] He’s lean, he’s mean, he’s scoring goals for fun, he’s in the form of his life, even recently, he’s scored some headed goals so he’s improving parts of his game, and he’s in a great place confidence-wise.”
