Manchester United continue tracking Napoli goalscorer

Manchester United are reportedly continuing to track Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The Nigeria international has been at his very best this season for Napoli and it looks like they are on course to win the Serie A title this season.

United have been linked with a move for Osimhen ever since Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract was terminated, and we already know that we are lacking in the striker department.

Wout Weghorst joined on loan in January until the end of the season and it remains to be seen if Erik ten Hag wants to keep him beyond that point.

However, a new report from The Telegraph claims United are ‘tracking’ Osimhen ahead of the summer.

Osimhen has scored 19 goals in 23 games this season across all competitions and he is set to become one of the world’s most wanted strikers this year.

Dealing with Napoli could prove to be a stumbling block but only time will tell.

Osimhen issues update on his future

Osimhen has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Napoli this summer.

Speaking to ESPN, he said: “I just want to help my team to win matches and win trophies. At the end of the season, we will see what is going to happen, but that is not up to me. It is for the club to decide.”
