Alejandro Garnacho set for new 5-year deal at Manchester United

New deal on the cards for Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho.

According to ESPN, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Alejandro Garnacho in principle to sign a new five-year deal.

It is understood that an announcement will come once a few of the final details such as image rights are sorted.

The 18-year-old has been our breakthrough star of the season and the club should be doing everything they can to sign him down for the foreseeable future, with his current deal set to expire in 2024.

Garnacho is set for a bumper deal after emerging as one of Erik ten Hag’s most promising players. The report states that negotiations over new terms started a few months ago but an agreement has now been reached between all of the parties involved.

An official announcement could follow in the coming weeks.

This means United are conducting contracts regardless of the likelihood we will have new owners later this year.

It’s also exciting news to know we’ve fought off any potential interest from Real Madrid for a couple of years at least. Ten Hag could do without that worry when he’s trying to build a successful team for the future.
