Manchester United talisman makes Europa League Team of the Week

Manchester United talisman Marcus Rashford has been named in WhoScored’s Europa League Team of the Week after another stellar display against Barcelona.

The Red Devils saw out a 2-2 draw in a European thriller last night when taking on the La Liga leaders on their home turf.

Rashford’s scintillating form continued, to nobody’s surprise, as he netted an equaliser and set up an attack that forced Jules Kounde to turn the ball into his own net. The England international is now on an outstanding 22 goals for the season so far, with eight assists also to his name.

His exceptional display earned him a 7.8 rating by WhoScored and he has been included in this week’s Europa League XI of the highest performers. Raphinha, who also scored in the match, is also in the team.

The second leg of the tie will take place next Thursday (February 23) at Old Trafford and Erik ten Hag will know his side are more than capable of securing progression to the next stage of the competition.
