Barcelona vs Manchester United smashes Europa League attendance record

90,255 fans watched Barcelona and Manchester United go toe-to-toe at the Camp Nou tonight.

The two European heavyweights played out a thrilling 2-2 draw and the clash will be remembered for a number of reasons: one of them being it smashed the previous UEFA Europa League attendance record by nearly 10,000.

The previous record was held at Wembley, ironically when they drew 2-2 with Gent six years ago.

It doesn’t surprise us that Manchester United have now been involved in four of the Europa League’s six best attended matches, with just two of those games held at Old Trafford and proving yet again that we have the best away support in Europe.
