David Coote will referee the Carabao Cup final between Manchester United and Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday 26 February.
The appointment was confirmed by the PGMOL on Tuesday evening, with the Reds facing Newcastle in their first cup final since 1999.
David Conte, 40, will be assisted by Nick Hopton and Tim Wood, while Simon Hooper has been appointed fourth official for the Wembley showdown.
