FC Porto are set to demand £66 million if any club comes knocking on the door to sign Diogo Costa this summer.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Portugal goalkeeper next summer, but that speculation was quenched a bit when the 23-year-old signed a new contract with Porto a few months ago.
However, there is a suggestion that was to protect their financial interest as Portuguese publication A Bola argue Porto are resigned to losing Costa this year.
The question is will Erik ten Hag be in the market for a new goalkeeper, or does he plan to offer David de Gea an extended deal?
Recent reports would suggest De Gea won’t be leaving Old Trafford anytime soon.
There are arguments to be made for both goalkeepers – but Costa, who impressed during the earlier stages of the season for Porto, flattered to deceive for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.
That said, Costa was once again elected the Best Goalkeeper of the Portuguese League in the months of December and January.
Diogo Costa has been chosen as the Goalkeeper of the Month in Portugal for:

-December 2021
