Marcus Rashford fined and given six penalty points for speeding offence

It’s not often we see negative publicity surround Marcus Rashford – and none of our readers will be surprised to hear he accepted his punishment after speeding in Manchester city centre.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has received a fine after admitting to speeding in his Mercedes G VRM in Manchester centre when he exceeded the 20mph limit in May 2022.

The England international admitted to the offence and was fined £574 at Manchester Magistrates Court, as per The Sun, on top of six penalty points on his driving licence.

Rashford, who has 20 goals to his name in all competitions this season, will look to put this mishap behind him by continuing his goalscoring form. It happened a little under a year ago so he would have known punishment was coming his way one way or other.

Like we said above, it’s very rare that we hear about Rashford stepping out of line.

Rashford’s focus will be on scoring against Leeds again on Sunday.
