Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has signed a new long-term contact at the club, as per ManUtd.com.
It’s always good to hear about our best academy players putting pen to paper and that is exactly how we feel about Mainoo, who is one of eight graduates to make a first team appearance this season.
Erik ten Hag gave Mainoo his full debut in the Carabao Cup against Charlton Athletic and his second appearance came in the FA Cup against Reading.
On top of that, the youngster has been named in six Premier League match day squads this season, including last night’s 2-2 draw versus Leeds.
Mainoo was just 8-years-old when he joined the Manchester United academy.
This new contract means he has moved a step closer to fulfilling his dream, but the coaches at Carrington will be keen to warn him that there’s still a long way to go.
We would like to congratulate Mainoo on his new deal. Everyone at Stretty News looks forward to seeing his development over the coming years.
