Marcus Rashford hails Man United fans after scoring winner vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United survived a late scare against Crystal Palace as the Reds returned to winning ways in the Premier League, with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford securing the three points.

Prior to the game, Erik ten Hag’s men were winless in their last two matches but that brief run has now been put to an end despite a nervy finish to the game.

Casemiro’s controversial sending-off in the second half, with United leading by two goals, gave Palace the spring in their step they needed but an inspired United held out to extend their winning run at Old Trafford to 13 games.

Rashford was, of course, again the man to apply the finishing touch as he scored the winner in the second half. The 25-year-old’s instinctive touch came after some stunning interplay between Alejandro Garnacho and Luke Shaw, among others.

He was also quick to react after the game, thanking the Old Trafford faithful for their neverending support of the side, as seen below.

“Without the fans cheering us over the line today, this victory isn’t possible. We appreciate every single one of you!” he wrote on his official Twitter account.

United have added a layer of resilience under Ten Hag and few players embody that as much as Rashford, who has completely been revitalised.
