Manchester United star Marcus Rashford on Football Black List

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been named on a list of the most influential black people in British Football.

The list, which is released annually (first published in 2008), recognises the efforts of black figures working in various areas across the football industry.

Rashford was named alongside Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieria, who remains the only black manager currently in the Premier League.

It is no secret that Rashford is a national treasure. The Manchester United star has done an incredible amount of work to help children in poverty, where it’s through writing books or ensuring that the UK government does its bit to feed starving kids.

This season he is back showing his best form on the pitch and has been United’s most prolific attacker. Long may that continue!

However, there are eight categories for the Football Black List which include the Premier League, Professional Footballers’ Association, League Managers’ Association, EFL and anti-racism group Kick It Out.
