Manchester United have confirmed that Marcel Sabitzer will wear the number 15 shirt whilst on loan until the end of the season.
Following an ankle injury to Christian Eriksen, Erik ten Hag began an emergency search for a new midfielder to carry out the same role in the team. Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer was a good find on a temporary deal.
United deserve credit for acting fast in order to bring in a suitable replacement for Eriksen.
Sabitzer flew to Manchester on transfer deadline day and completed his move before the 11pm deadline.
It has now been confirmed by Manchester United that Sabitzer will wear the number 10 shirt for the duration of his loan.

Sky Sports claim four players were offered to Manchester United on deadline day – before they settled on Sabitzer. The others include Isco, Saul Niguez, Houssem Aouar and Yannick Carrasco.
I don’t know why Carrasco was offered as a replacement for Eriksen, though. The Belgian winger is a million miles away from being a suitable replacement.
