Manchester United completed the loan signing of Marcel Sabitzer on deadline day.
Following the news that Christian Eriksen will be sidelined for up to three months, Erik ten Hag turned to Sabitzer.
The Bayern Munich midfielder was announced as a United player until the end of the season in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
In turn, Sabitzer is likely to slot directly into Eriksen’s role — in a pivot next to Casemiro.
Sky Sports News have done a segment to compare Sabitzer and Eriksen’s stats, and I think it would be fair to say the Austrian seems to be the right fit for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Sabitzer averages more passes (65) and tackles (83) per game as well as boasting a higher passing accuracy rate (84).
A shrewd bit of business.
