Manchester United are making moves to sign Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer on loan until the end of the season.
Miguel Delaney has provided a transfer update on deadline day and it features Manchester United.
The Independent’s chief football writer claims Manchester United asked about not only Marcel Sabitzer, but Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. Erik ten Hag managed Gravenberch at Ajax prior to his summer move to the Bundesliga champions and he was one of his key players in last season’s Eredivisie-winning team.
Delaney adds that United also considered Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, though the Red Devils were unwilling to pay the money it would require to complete a deal. It remains to be seen if they will move for the Belgium midfielder in the summer when his contract is set to expire.
