Marcus Rashford’s wonder strike against Arsenal is nominated for Premier League Goal of the Month

Manchester United talisman Marcus Rashford has had his wonder strike against Arsenal nominated for Premier League Goal of the Month.

The 25-year-old is currently the most in-form player across Europe and has displayed the best goalscoring record since returning from the World Cup. He has scored at least once in nine of the 10 matches played and is up to 18 goals for the season so far.

Whilst his outstanding finish on Sunday was not enough to see out the three points, it’s worthy of picking up the award for his technique alone. Rashford glided past Thomas Partey with ease and slotted the ball past Aaron Ramsdale to open the scoring.

His emphatic performances have been instrumental to the Reds’ run of form; United are currently the only English club to remain in contention in all four competitions. With one foot already in the Carabao Cup semi-final, silverware could be on the horizon very soon, and it’s well-deserved for the squad.
