Nigerian artist urges Victor Osimhen to join Manchester United

Victor Osimhen is among Manchester United’s transfer targets for next summer.

It remains to be seen if they will meet Napoli’s transfer demands, which will likely include a huge fee up front, and United’s situation depends heavily on whether the Glazers sell the club before the end of the season.

Osimhen being on United’s wish list comes as no surprise because the Nigeria international is currently top goalscorer in Series A, with Napoli sitting on top of the table at the mid-way point of the season.

Napoli have also been one of the most impressive teams in the Champions League but only time will tell how far they can get in this year’s tournament.

It bodes well for Osimhen that he is five years younger than United’s other attacking target, Harry Kane, who could decide to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Napoli striker has now been urged to sign for United, by Nigerian musician Crayon, who reached out to him on social media.

Crayon wrote: “Howfa my bro! Osi nlaaaaa! Man U day find you!!! Abeg come Man U this summer after you win Serie A! Come collect big 9!!!”

How much could Osimhen cost United

There’s always a premium transfer fee for Manchester United.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reckons that Osimhen would likely cost United a club record fee, higher than the £89 million we spent on Paul Pogba in 2016.

I don’t really see a problem breaking that record for one of the best centre-forwards in the world, so the decision should really come down to the manager, who we ought to trust throughout the rebuilding process. Ten Hag has already brought a number of brilliant footballers to the club like Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez.

Long may that continue.
