Manchester United midfielder Charlie Savage is leaving the club on loan for the remainder of the season.
It has been reported this week that Savage expected to secure a loan move away from Manchester United to gain more first team experience.
According to Football Insider, the 19-year-old is undergoing a medical at Forest Green Rovers — 24 hours after a report from BBC Sport suggest that Savage had agreed to join the League One strugglers.
The report claims an agreement is in place and the formalities are now being completed.
It will be a good move for Savage if he can get minutes under his belt. The Welsh youngster played well under Erik ten Hag during the pre-season tour and we are sure the manager will be keeping a close eye on his development.
Savage, 19, is the son for former Manchester United youth player Robbie Savage. Unlike his dad, Charlie has represented the Reds in the Champions League when he featured against Young Boys in December 2021.
We would like to wish Savage the very best at Forest Green Rovers.
