Erik ten Hag makes plans to finalise summer transfer plans by the end of January

Manchester United are reportedly expecting to have a plan for the summer transfer window outlined by the end of January.

That is according to The Times, which reported that the club are aiming to finalise summer transfer plans soon.

Erik ten Hag has made his desire for a striker clear in recent months and a new No.9 will likely be first on the list. Reports have circulated detailing United’s interest in Harry Kane and they have suggested that the England captain would be open to making the switch to Manchester.

Kane could stay put at Spurs

However, speculation began this morning regarding Kane’s intent to stay at Tottenham Hotspur and sign a new contract once his current one expires in 18 months. The Reds have also been linked with prolific Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who has been lighting up the Serie A with his electric form this season.

One thing for sure with Osimhen is that he’ll come with a hefty price tag attached, though if new owners are in by the summer, they may want to make a statement signing that fans will see as them backing the manager.

Ten Hag is also reportedly keen on 19-year-old Benjamin Sesko. Whilst he could be an exciting option due to his age and potential, he is unlikely to provide the instant impact of goals and contributions that United need.
