(Video) Roy Keane says United must beat Arsenal to have any chance at Premier League title

Manchester United have bounced back from a slow start to the Premier League season.

A win over Arsenal today would, I guess, bring us into the conversation (created by the media) for this season’s title race.

I don’t think we are in a title race as our main objective is still to qualify for the Champions League. Forgetting that could create unnecessary problems but I admire how Erik ten Hag goes into every game wanting to win. That’s the sort of mentality that will help us get back to some of the previous heights we witnessed from following the team down the years.

The Reds would move within five points of the Gunners with a win at the Emirates Stadium, and we’ve already beaten Mikel Arteta’s side 3-1 this season — without Casemiro, who is suspended for today’s big clash.

Speaking ahead of the match, United legend Roy Keane has said anything less than a win for United would mean they are out of the hunt for the Premier League title.

Keane told Sky Sports: “They had a huge disappointment the other night dropping a couple of points, one or two suspensions as well which is a huge loss to United, but United had such a difficult start to the season it is great to see their recovery.

“They are slightly behind Arsenal in terms of the level of their performances and obviously the points total, but it is a great chance for United to come down [to Arsenal] today and we are talking about can they get in the mix of winning the title.

“You would have been mad saying that a few months ago but if they can come and win here today, it is a big ask, then they are very much in the mix; but anything less than a win, certainly forget about United for the title.”

Man City will be right up there too.
