It looks like Wout Weghorst will wear the number 27 shirt at Manchester United for the remainder of the season.

The 30-year-old striker joined Manchester United on loan from Burnley earlier this week and could make his debut against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Sadly, Weghorst wasn’t registered in time for Saturday’s Manchester derby, therefore missing out on a memorable 2-1 win over the current Premier League champions.

Robert Claus has uploaded two photos to Twitter showing Weghorst at Old Trafford in his new shirt accompanied by his two children, as cited by @utdreport.

The recruitment team have backed Erik ten Hag with the move, despite some fans questioning whether Weghorst is of the right profile for United.

Personally, I think Ten Hag has earned our trust in the transfer market after his summer signings. They’ve all made such an impact that we are still competing in all four competitions.
