Marcus Rashford has scored in an eighth consecutive home match at Old Trafford and is the first player to do so since Wayne Rooney in 2010.
The 25-year-old is following in the footsteps of one of the most prolific goalscorers in United’s history and is likely giving supporters flashbacks to several years ago when the Reds’ No.10 just couldn’t stop scoring.
Tonight marked Rashford’s 15th goal of the season as United cruised their way to the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 win against Charlton Athletic. Antony netted the opener and the other two came courtesy of the Englishman, who featured for only 32 minutes of the match.
The home goalscoring record – who holds it?
The club record is held by one of the Busby Babes, Dennis Viollet, who achieved a run of finding the net in nine consecutive home games in 1959.
